First Reconciliation & First Communion

Preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion is an exciting time! We first focus on God’s mercy and how we celebrate forgiveness. After such cleansing, we prepare to receive the Eucharist—to take in the real presence of the risen Lord. 

Children of St. Rose Parish who are seven years or older are invited to register here for First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation. Classes take place between Masses on Sundays beginning September 24, 2017. First Reconciliation is celebrated in December, while First Communion is celebrated in May. See our 2017-18 schedule to include new “Youth Sunday” activities.  

Of vital importance to your child’s preparation is your weekly participation in the Mass— the greatest expression of our Catholic faith. It is here that the preparation for these sacraments come alive. Please make weekly Mass attendance a priority for you and your family.
