As we prepare for Lent, here is a reminder of the many opportunities within our St. Rose community to grow in an abiding friendship with Jesus.
- The Pastoral Council has a daily activity/penance you might choose to experience what normal days are like for many people in our world. Click here and see if you can get a bingo—or even a blackout—this Lent!
- SVdP has a challenge to build your weekly food budget off of what many of their clients live off of. (See below.)
- The Pastoral Council has started reading Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis’s social encyclical in order to start opening dialogue about the social ills that we face. Consider reading along.
Do something as a family or with your friends or consider joining a digital faith sharing group at St. Rose. You may email the leaders below directly for the group you are interested in:- Fr. George (gkuforiji@archdpdx.org) will lead a men's group on consecration to Joseph on Tuesday evenings.
- Krissy Darmody (kcaponi@gmail.com) will lead a women’s group for women with school age children.
- Frank Rego (frank@regofamily.com) will lead a group going through the Search on FORMED for free.
- Eric Bennet (eobennett4@yahoo.com) will lead a group on a 40 day Exodus 90, geared for men.
- Nancy Lyle (youthministry@strosepdx.org) will lead a group for high school girls based on the Search on FORMED. Visit our High School Fellowship page for more details.
- There is also an online group for Fiat 90 or Magnify 90, geared for women.
- Married couples might be interested in a marriage enrichment opportunity.
