Mission: is to help make our church an inviting place of worship. Individuals and families can participate by signing up for a week of service that includes washing & refilling holy water bowls, disposing of spent floral displays and preparing new ones, light cleaning as needed (dusting, tidying up pews, etc.) This service is usually performed on Saturday morning or early afternoon. In addition opportunities are available to participate in the setup and cleanup of special displays for Advent, Christmas and Easter.

Practice is twice per week: Tuesdays and Saturdays. Boys and girls, ages 3rd grade through High School, are welcome to join. Musically dedicated to classical heritage of the church by singing Gregorian Chant.

Living the Eucharist

Mission: A parish-based renewal experience fostering spiritual growth and discipleship by promoting full, conscious and active participation in the Eucharist. During Lent, small groups meet weekly to discuss topics related to the meaning of the Mass and pray Scripture readings for the next Sunday.

Mission: Based on inspiration from the catechumenate of early Christians, by which converts were prepared for Baptism, the Neocatechumenal Way provides a post-baptismal catechumenate for adults who are already members of the Catholic Church. Small communities committed to the "New Evangelization" called for by Blessed Pope John Paul II meet twice weekly. All are welcome.

Mission: A personal prelature of the Catholic Church teaching that everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity. Mission: The Life, Justice & Peace Committee at St. Rose Parish exists to engage and empower each parishioner to live out the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy in their everyday life. The committee does this by coordinating activities that parishioners can participate in to support and promote human life and dignity, especially for the poor and vulnerable. All of the activities of the committee are guided by Catholic Social Teaching.

St. Vincent de Paul

Mission: Volunteering to deliver food to the needy in NE Portland neighborhoods on weekday afternoon by joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, meeting monthly with other Vincentians to assess their work and to reflect on their mission: to see Christ in the face of the poor. Donated and purchased food is stored in a pantry below the church offices where volunteers assemble food deliveries. Parishioners and other generous community members also make quarterly financial donations to enable the conference to purchase food and volunteer for delivery of Christmas Food Boxes the weekend before Christmas.
St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive

Mission: Replenishing St Vincent de Paul pantry annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving by collecting food in four neighborhoods of NE Portland to assist other parishes to feed their needy during the Christmas Season. Volunteers are needed for door-to-door delivery of collection bags, pick-up of donated food, sorting of food for storage, set up/clean up, volunteer coordination. A wonderful event for the whole family.
